Psychiatrist | Child & Adolescent Behavioral Health Specialist

Dr. Ranga Rao is an experienced psychiatrist specializing in child and adolescent mental health, serving as the lead provider for Child and Adolescent Services at New Beginnings Today in Albany, Georgia. He brings a strong clinical background in both hospital-based and public mental health settings, with a focus on delivering compassionate, evidence-based care to children, adolescents, and their families.
Dr. Rao provides psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and medication management for a range of behavioral health conditions, including ADHD, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and behavioral challenges. In his role, he is responsible for the medical oversight and clinical direction of youth services, ensuring that care is safe, structured, and aligned with best practices in behavioral health treatment.
His professional experience includes work with postgraduate (PGY) training programs in Brooklyn, New York, as well as service with the Connecticut State Department of Mental Health, where he supported the delivery of comprehensive mental health services across diverse communities.
Dr. Rao earned his medical degree from Sri Venkateswara Medical College in Tirupati, India. He is committed to improving access to quality mental health care and works collaboratively with families, therapists, and care teams to develop personalized treatment plans that support long-term emotional wellness and stability.

Since joining New Beginnings Today in 2011, she has been a cornerstone of the organization’s operational leadership, staff development, and administrative excellence.
Patricia provides day-to-day leadership, supervision, and direction for clinical and administrative staff, ensuring that operations run efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of patient care, compliance, and organizational performance. Her leadership supports a culture of accountability, teamwork, and consistent service delivery, which is critical in delivering effective mental health and substance abuse services.
Her background includes extensive expertise in behavioral health operations, addiction counseling, staff management, and human services, allowing her to effectively bridge the gap between clinical care and administrative execution. Patricia is known for fostering strong team dynamics through clear communication, performance expectations, and recognition of outcomes, helping staff stay aligned and motivated.
Patricia holds an Associate’s degree in Education, a certificate in Addiction Counseling from Darton College, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Albany State University, and a Master of Science in Social Work and Human Services from Capella University.

Dr. Green’s Bio:

Dr. Marcus J. Green, Ed.D. is a licensed professional counselor and founder of New Beginnings Today, LLC, a behavioral health organization established in 2007 to provide comprehensive, whole-person care to individuals and families.
For nearly two decades, Dr. Green has led efforts across Georgia to improve mental health outcomes through a combination of clinical care, community engagement, and supportive services. His approach goes beyond traditional treatment—focusing not only on diagnosis, but on understanding the full person, their environment, and the challenges they face.
Under his leadership, New Beginnings Today has grown into a multi-location practice with offices in Atlanta, Albany, and Covington, supported by a team of more than 60 professionals and a network of over 100 community partners. The organization serves more than 400 patients, delivering a broad range of services including individual and family counseling, psychiatric and psychological evaluations, case management, substance abuse treatment, and community-based support programs.
Dr. Green’s work is rooted in compassion, access, and impact—extending care into underserved and rural communities across the state of Georgia. Prior to founding New Beginnings Today, he served in various clinical roles throughout the Atlanta area and worked extensively with the homeless population.
He holds a Doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University, a Master’s degree from Troy University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Morris Brown College.
